What Is J.A.M?
J.A.M. Otherwise known as the Japanese Anime and Manga club, is Columbia College Chicago’s very own Anime club! J.A.M. Meets every Tuesday of the semester (currently held in 916 S Wabash in room 150), where we take the time to learn about the culture behind Anime and Manga, as well as its origins and history! We also watch Anime’s monthly, determined by suggestions and polls voted by our club members in our club discord!
past events
monthly club outings, our latest being a group outing and scavenger hunt in chinatown (February 2024) and to the Christmas market (December 2023), collaborations with other clubs including the cosplay masquerade in collaboration with ccc trans fam club (October 2023), iaido introductory workshop two part class in collaboration with the ccc aikado club workshop (November 2022), a shrinky dinks and Kandi workshop in collaboration with the student centers makers space (December 2023), our booth at manifest which included photo card decorating (may 2023), a discussion on asian media in collaboration with ccc's asian student organization (April 2022), and much more!
our club has also been the recipient of multiple awards, including greatest strides, Event Of The Year 2023 (C3Expo), Student leader of the year (2023), Student organization of the year (2023-2024), and Marketing Campaign Award 2024 (C3Expo)
